The objective of the Master ForTheMicrobes is to train researchers in the field of microbiology in an international context. Microbiology is considered a developing science at the heart of many industrial applications in the fields of health, agribusiness and agri-food. It has a significant economic impact and is considered a strategic discipline in research and development policies.
Admission requirements
Prerequisite for enrollment to the
program is a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology (or comparable). You must submit your application through the uB in Dijon, France. Admission to the study program is granted after successful completion of the selection process. A very good command of English is required, and no German/French language skills are needed. Acquired competences
Students of the International Master’s Programme in Microbiology acquire advanced knowledge in the field of microbiology, particularly in the fields of molecular microbiology, microbial physiology and biotechnology as well as microbial ecology with a clear focus on applications in industry, biotechnology, medicine and pharmacy. The program is based on different practical and research courses, which are accompanied by seminars and research talks.
Career prospects
The Forthem Master allows to obtain a double degree between the University of Burgundy in Dijon (uB, France) and the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (JGU, Germany).
