Admission

Students from a country of the European Union (except France), European Economic Area and Switzerland can apply on the eCandidat site (https://ecandidat.u-bourgogne.fr)

Students from France can apply via monmaster.gouv.fr.

Applications on monmaster and ecandidat will be open from February 26 to March 24, 2024.

Students who are residents of a country which is outside European Union, EEA, Switzerland AND participates in the Campus France /Etudier en France procedure should follow this procedure in their respective countries, except if they are of European nationality. The deadlines vary depending the country, but are usually around December/January.

After evaluation of the dossiers we will invite selected candidates for an online interview.

A maximum of 16 students per year will be accepted for the programme.
Programme candidates must fulfill the following admission requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 180 ECTS credits in the field of Biology (at the time of application proof of 120 ECTS is sufficient; for enrollment at uB, proof of the obtained Degree is necessary)
  • English language proficiency at the level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), according to the standards of uB. If the proof is given by a language test, the testing date may not be more than three years old at the time of application.
  • uB conducts the application, administration of the selection process and the admission of prospective students in compliance with the regulations of this agreement and the requirements of the Partner Institution. uB ensures that applicants from JGU have the same chances for admission as applicants from uB, even if application procedures and deadlines might differ.
  • The Programme Directors shall accept students from the pool of applicants who meet the requirements as stated. The selection shall take place according to the following criteria:
    -university grades, in particular in subject areas related to the Master program
    -internships and project work in general and in the subject area
    -motivation and coherence of the career plan with the subject area
  • Admitted students shall be enrolled by uB. uB shall then transfer all relevant admission details to JGU, observing the data protection. JGU will accept the selected student for enrolment. Students will be enrolled at both Partner Institutions for the entire duration of the Degree Programme.
