All prospective students for the academic year 2025-26 must apply via the eCandidat platform (https://ecandidat.u-bourgogne.fr) which is planned to open between mid-February and March 30th, 2025.
Please not that application will NOT be possible on monmaster.gouv.fr or via the Campus France /Etudier en France procedure.
After evaluation of the application files we will invite selected candidates for an online interview.
A maximum of 16 students per year will be accepted for the programme.
Programme candidates must fulfill the following admission requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 180 ECTS credits in the field of Biology (at the time of application, proof of 120 ECTS is sufficient; for enrollment at uB, proof of the obtained degree is necessary)
- English language proficiency at the level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Please supply any certificates of proficiency you have, in any case we will take note of your language capabilities in the interview.
- UBE conducts the application, administration of the selection process and the admission of prospective students in compliance with the regulations of this agreement and the requirements of the Partner Institution.
- The Programme Directors shall accept students from the pool of applicants who meet the requirements as stated. The selection shall take place according to the following criteria:
-university grades, in particular in subject areas related to the Master program
-internships and project work in general and in the subject area
-motivation and coherence of the career plan with the subject area - Admitted students shall be enrolled by UBE. UBE shall then transfer all relevant admission details to JGU, observing the data protection. JGU will accept the selected student for enrolment. Students will be enrolled at both Partner Institutions for the entire duration of the Degree Programme.
The following fees will be due at enrolment (note that these are from 2024/25 and the amount will later be adjusted for 2025/26 by the administration): Contribution to student and campus life (CVEC): 103 EUR. Master level enrolment fee: 250 EUR.
Applicants for an EIFFEL fellowship should send a letter of motivation, a CV (both in English) and relevant transcripts. Please note that this kind of fellowship is extremely competitive and we would only be able to accept truly outstanding students. The exact deadline for this procedure depends on the country and is usually in December of the year before the beginning of the program.
